Description
Create a plant life cycle craft wheel with your elementary age students or homeschool students! This activity works well as a science center or independent activity for students fluent in reading. The activity involves coloring and labeling the life cycle of a plant in the shape of a wheel with an arrow to point to the different pants of the plant’s life cycle. Great additional to a science unit about botany!
This activity includes: directions, a plant’s life cycle wheel pattern and arrow pattern for students, labels, and a life cycle diagram with definitions and labels of the different parts of a plant’s life cycle. It also shows an example photo of what the finished product looks like.
The plant life cycle craft wheel would work nicely as an Earth Day Craft as well! For more wheel crafts, try our water cycle wheel craft. To learn more about plants, view our homeschool unit study on Flowers and Seeds. This has a couple simple experiments with flowers for younger children.
*Note: You will need one brass fastener per student for this project and a piece of construction paper or other stiff paper. Colored construction paper work well, as does the material from a file folder.
