Description

Great Lakes Diagram:

This is a science mini-lesson on the formation and map of the Great Lakes! This product is designed for kids age 3rd to 6th grade. With a third grade student, you may want to consider this as a class science activity or something to do one on one with your student. A 4th to 6th grader could read the packet and fill out the worksheet independently during class time or as a homework assignment.

You will find one sheet describing how the Great Lakes formed, one sheet designed for a student to research one of the lakes, one sheet with a map diagram, and the last sheet describing what goes on the map diagram. There is an answer key at the back.

Here is a video suggestion to use along with this lesson. This shows the variations in the lakes and how they eventually stream out into the Atlantic Ocean. I suggest doing the video before attempting to start the mini lesson. Please screen all videos before showing to students.
